Fleksy, the award-winning smart keyboard company, announced today that it is in the process of rolling out major updates for both its Android beta and Galaxy Gear applications. The first bundles support for 15 new languages, together with significant accuracy improvements for all supported languages which now exceed 35 in total, and the second includes compatibility for Samsung’s first smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear 1 (formerly known as the Galaxy Gear). 

Chromecast-peeking

Google started rolling out a very much-anticipated update for its official Chromecast application via the Play Store earlier today. This upgrade brings support for the Android Screen Mirroring feature which was unveiled at I/O back  in June, however, Google states that it’s still in its beta phase so if there are any minor bugs present, don’t be alarmed, they will all be ironed out by the time the final version rolls out later this month.

Possibly the best and most-functional Twitter client, Talon, acquired a rather unexpected update earlier today bringing it in line with the latest design and aesthetic guidelines introduced at Google I/O alongside Android L last week.

For the past two days, Snapchat has secretly implemented a ton of new location-exclusive filters in its Android application and despite not having an official announcement, they are proving to be incredibly popular amongst avid users of the service who have eagerly taken to Twitter to share their latest ‘snapsterpieces’ with the new filters applied.

GDocs_update

Google has started rolling out a major update to Google Docs and Sheets, partially bringing its new Material Design theme to the apps and greatly enhancing their capabilities.

Google had previously confirmed that once the Docs and Sheets app get native Word editing functionality, it would remove Quickoffice from the Play Store. This update is just a step in that direction and brings the ability to natively create and edit Word files in the apps.
