After a brief beta, Steam has made the ability to remotely manage your library of games as well as initiate a download via the web or mobile app a reality for all. Steam users who download the latest client for their PC or Mac will be able to log into the Steam web site or mobile app to access and manage their downloading pre-loads, new releases, or latest purchases.
Today Google updated its Chrome browser and introduced the ability to sync tabs across multiple devices. The update, along with the tab sync feature will be rolling out over the next couple weeks so you may or may not see it right away. I was able to update Chrome on both my laptop and desktop, however, only my laptop received the tab sync feature. I was hoping to give you a hands on across all of my devices but since my desktop lacks the tab sync, I’ll be showing you how it works across my laptop and Samsung Galaxy Nexus using Chrome Beta for Android.
Google’s latest Stable release of Chrome now includes the ability to sync tabs across multiple devices. As long as you are signed into Chrome, you’ll now have the ability to take your tabs with you when switching between work, home, mobile (with Chrome for Android beta), etc. Accessing them is quick and easy thanks to the new “Other devices” menu located on the New Tab page, and even the back and forward buttons will work, allowing you to pick up browsing right where you left off.
Pocket, formerly known as Read It Later, has enjoyed much success since its rebranding, and although its last update was a nice improvement, there were a few things missing. Five million users later and we’re finally seeing a Pocket worth putting our stuff in. The new and improved Pocket 4.1 hit iOS today, giving us Android users a peek at what to expect in the upcoming days.
ASUS continues to lead the pack when it comes to updating their products to the latest version of Android. While everyone else drags their feet, ASUS is updating devices like the Eee Pad Slider — which we can’t imagine is a top seller. Nevertheless, they began pushing out the Android 4.0 update to Slider owners in the U.S. today, and continue to put other manufacturers and their empty promises to shame.
