Owners of the US WiFi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 should start seeing an OTA update hit their device. Unfortunately the update is not Ice Cream Sandwich, but it appears to be a maintenance update that takes care of quite a few issues. The update is build number HTJ85B.UEKMP P7510UEKMP and fixes:

It was disappointing enough when we learned that Samsung wouldn’t be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy III this year at MWC, but now, we learn they won’t be holding a press conference this year either. Booo Samsung, just booo.

It should come as no surprise that Samsung is inking deals to build an OLED display stronghold, considering OLED display revenues are expected to reach more than $20 billion by 2018. Teaming up with Corning, the makers of Gorilla Glass, Samsung plans to combine their OLED display expertise with Corning’s new Lotus Glass substrates. These new displays should then find their way into the next generation of Galaxy devices as well as TVs and more.

If you’re looking to be the guy who confuses everyone when you whip out your phone (is that a phone, is that a tablet?) you’ll be happy to know that Best Buy is opening pre-orders this Sunday for the Samsung Galaxy Note on AT&T. To sweeten the deal, Best Buy is throwing in a free flip case upon activation, but you’ll have to be quick as it’s a limited supply with no rainchecks. Samsung has spent a lot of money on Super Bowl ads for the Galaxy Note and they’re hoping that 90 second spot garners enough interest to get you running to the computer to pre-order one.
