NVIDIA had a slew of new games to show off for their Tegra 3 4-PLUS-1 quad-core platform at Mobile World Congress today. They’re pretty proud of these titles and have been working with the developers for years to ensure optimization. Mobile gaming is slowly creeping up on console gaming and these titles are proof of how far it has come. If you’re a mobile gamer who’s excited about Tegra 3 devices, stay tuned after the break for what’s to come for Tegra 3 gaming.

It looks like you may want to hold onto your upgrade just a bit longer. According to NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsung, Tegra 3 devices being announced at Mobile World Congress will ship this quarter:

“This quarter we are expecting to ship Tegra 3 based superphones. At Mobile World Congress is when we expect to announce these devices, and we expect to announce and ship them this quarter.”

That’s a pretty bold statement, which if true, means we may see quad-core phones by the end of March! I sure hope he’s right.

CES will bring out all the big players in the mobile processor game, each ready to flaunt the power, speed, and overall performance of their mobile processing chips. We’re going to give you a look at a few of the major players and what they plan to bring to the CES table. This year’s buzz word should be “quad-core,” and we’re hoping to see plenty of it (hopefully on phones).
