Samsung has set its sights on acquiring some of Nokia’s share in emerging markets with a new handset range called “REX.” Based on the company’s TouchWiz interface, but not actually powered by Android, the devices are being described as “smart featurephones,” and they’re going to be competing with Nokia’s hugely popular Asha range in markets such as India.

HTC is gearing up to announce the M7, its next-generation Android flagship, on February 19 — and the Taiwanese company has already begun teasing some of its headline features. It has published an info-graphic on “The Brief History of Photography” on its website, and it mentions “a new sound and camera experience” coming this year.

The HTC M7, the next-generation Android flagship from HTC, is expected to get its grand unveiling next week following plenty of rumors and a number of revealing leaks. It hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s already been appearing in benchmark tests and regulator databases in Singapore and Macau. Several pictures of the device — showing off all four variants — have also been published online by one Russian retailer.

The Constellation Ti is expected to get its unveiled at Mobile World Congress next month, and like all other Vertu handsets, it’s likely to cost tens of thousands of dollars.

This isn’t going to happen.

Nokia has since clarified what the job listing is all about, however, and although it hasn’t completely denied working on an Android smartphone, it has all but killed the rumors in relation to it.
