The Kindle Fire/Fire HD and Nexus 7 have given birth to a small, yet powerful, sub-category of affordable 7-inch tablets. One that has been slowly eating away at a market that has been dominated by the much larger Apple iPad. To battle this growing trend, Apple decided to break down — after vowing to never to make a 7-inch tablet — and create a smaller version of their highly successful iPad line. Apple’s iPad Mini may not be a 7-inch tablet (it’s 7.9-inches), but it’s clear Apple’s intentions are to disrupt the sales of those pesky 7-inch competitors out there who keep chipping away at their market share.

Nothing quite brightens my day like a good ol’ Apple spoof, and believe me, there’s no shortage of those. We all had a good laugh when Apple announced the iPad Mini. The way they kept a straight face as they tried to convince their devout to empty their wallets for a two-year piece of tech, was absolutely priceless. While Apple tried to put as positive of a spin on the product as possible, nothing quite tells the truth like this banned iPad Mini Promo.

Right on schedule, EA has release Need For Speed Most Wanted to the Android masses. If you head over to the Play Store, you’ll find Need For Speed in all its rubber burning glory. This nineteenth iteration in the long-running Need for Speed series features stunning graphics and immersive gameplay.

It’s no secret that Nexus devices lack SD card support. In fact, the only Nexus device to ever have it was the Nexus One. We’ve heard all sorts of reasons for Google’s decision, however, none have been as absurd as the one Google’s Director of Android User Experience, Matias Duarte, gave while falling victim to an impromptu “Ask me anything” on Google+.

We’ve heard all about the new Nexus devices but what about the updated version of Android that comes with them? Both the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 run Android 4.2 and while it may seem like a small incremental step, there’s actually a whole slew of new features to get excited about. In fact, this is actually the first time I’m more excited about the software than I am the hardware.
