The NFL has announced that NBC’s broadcasts of wild card Saturday, the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl will be available online as well as via Verizon’s NFL Mobile app. This will mark the first time said events were streamed through a mobile platform and it comes as no surprise that their partner Verizon gets the honor. Here’s what Hans Shroeder, NFL senior vice president of media strategy and development had to say about the news:
The burning question on the minds of most Android users is: “Will my device be getting upgraded to the latest OS?” Many users are still stuck on contracts, and considering a “new and improved” device comes out almost monthly, it would be financially irresponsible to keep buying these devices at full cost. Today Samsung has announced its international list of devices that are scheduled to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update. Samsung hasn’t announced any concrete time table as to when, but we do have an idea of which ones will be first. Let’s take a look at which Samsung devices are expected to see Android 4.0 and whether there’s cause for you to jump up and down.
The only thing I look forward to more than a Nexus device itself, is the accompanying Ninja unboxing. Anyone who hasn’t seen a ninja unbox a device surely hasn’t lived. This year is no different, and with the release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus comes the third episode of “Ninja’s Unboxing.” This years Ninja unboxing features 8-bit graphics, punching, kicking, ninja stars, and more. It’s something you’ll have to experience for yourself so I highly recommend heading over to YouTube to get your Ninja on (don’t plan on doing anything for the next 20 minutes or so). Verizon has an update ready for the DROID RAZR and it’s set to bring improved 3G/4G data connectivity among other things. The “soak test” has already begun, along with the support documentation being added to the Verizon site. While there’s no official ETA at the moment, the document shown above let’s us know what users can expect to be included in the update:
One of the most highly anticipated Android tablets of the year, the ASUS Transformer Prime, went up for pre-order on Amazon last month. Amazon quickly sold out and soon began canceling some customers’ orders. Eventually the ASUS Transformer Prime completely disappeared from Amazon’s site never to be seen or heard of again — that is, until today. Amazon has reopened pre-orders for all four variants of the ASUS Transformer Prime and to make amends with customers who were left in the dark, they are also offering 1-day free shipping along with a $10 credit (only some customers are reporting the credit).
