Amazon Prime Members now have several more reasons to spend $79 a year thanks to a recent licensing deal signed with Discovery Communications. Members will now enjoy hit shows from the Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Science and Military Channel, as well as content from the company’s 25-year programming library. With the addition of Discovery’s hit titles, Prime Members now have access to an additional 17,000 titles from the Prime Instant Video library on top of the 120,000+ titles available through Amazon Instant Video.


There’s no denying the popularity of Zynga’s games and although their Words With Friends Android debut wasn’t so great, it still managed to surpass 20 million downloads. Words With Friends has been ending marriages and creating insomniacs since its inception and now they plan on getting you fired thanks to another great word game Scramble With Friends.


The Amazon Appstore turned 1 today, and to celebrate this milestone, they will be offering tons of apps at discounted prices. Starting today, Amazon will feature a hit app at up to 67% off followed by two apps tomorrow, three apps the next day, and so on. You’ll find plenty of user favorites such as Fruit Ninja, Wolfram Alpha, Splashtop Remote Desktop, and many more, on sale in Amazon’s week of deals. If it’s one thing the Amazon Appstore has been good for, it”s free and discounted apps.


A few crafty HTC Vivid owners have been able to pull down the Ice Cream Sandwich update thanks to a little dialer trick. A forum member over at Android Central was surprised to find Ice Cream Sandwich and Sense 3.6 waiting for him after performing a system update by dialing *#*#682#*#* . Quite a few people have since had success using the same method while others say the number just disappears from the screen when they try to dial it. Either way, it’s worth a shot to have Ice Cream Sandwich running on your Vivid ahead of most other devices.


When HTC unveiled their One series of phones, their wasn’t much info about the One V. They told us about its Legend design (which I don’t really care for) and at MWC they showed us a charcoal-colored version that wasn’t quite ready to be powered on. We now know the HTC One V is expected to be an entry level device and thanks to Japanese site Blog of Mobile, we also know it will come in a variety of other colors.
