The popular U.S. operator, Verizon, has officially announced its first budget-friendly low-end 7-inch tablet, the Elipsis 7, which will ship running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The slate will be available to purchase from tomorrow Thursday, November 7, with the rather affordable price tag of $250 from the carrier’s official website.

The popular U.K. online retailer, Zavvi, has officially listed Google’s first media streaming dongle, the Chromecast, on its website with a price tag or £39.99 (approx. $63), which is a bit more than it retails for in the States, but that does include postage and packaging.

Android 4.4 is without doubt one of the most impressive operating system updates we have seen as of yet, bringing a completely revamped user interface and a multitude of new features. Google has officially announced that over the course of the next few weeks, it will be expanding the availability of Glass and refreshing the current Glass hardware.

Yesterday, Google published a post on its official Google Glass account on G+, notifying current Explorers that the development team at Mountain View HQ have been working on a new version of Glass for the past few months based on user feedback. The new version of the hardware will have compatibility with future prescription and sunglass lenses, as well as the inclusion of a mono earbud for enhanced audio playback.

Google’s upcoming high-end flagship smartphone of 2013, the Nexus 5, has made yet another appearance in a leaked press render, only this time the rear of the handset has been anodized in white.
