Moto-G-teaser

Claims that Motorola is planning a budget version of the Moto X looked stronger last week when an upcoming magazine containing details of the “Moto G” was leaked online. And now Motorola has all but confirmed the device by teasing a Moto G unveiling for November 13.

Motorola is in the process of pushing out a largely-requested update via Google Play for the official Moto X camera application. The upgrade brings a brightened camera viewfinder, a Quick Capture mode for Enterprise users and a truckload of stability improvements and bug fixes. So, all-in-all it’s a pretty significant update that we would advise all Moto X owners to download.

The relatively new U.S. operator, Republic Wireless is holding a contest on its official Facebook page, in which it plans to give away what it calls a “Moto X Prize Pack,” consisting of a Moto X handset, 12 months of free service from the carrier and an impressive package of accessories.

Samsung has struck a $100 million deal with the NBA that will see its tablets and televisions used courtside during games. The deal is seen as a strategic move that could expand the global reach of both parties, shoving Samsung’s logo and devices into the faces of NBA fans, and putting NBA content into the hands of Samsung’s customers.

Verizon together with Motorola is in the process of rolling out the rather much-anticipated over-the-air (OTA) update for its carrier-branded version of the Moto X. The upgrade is a duplicate of what we’ve already seen AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular roll out to their devices, bringing a truckload of stability improvements, camera enhancements and bug fixes.
