As Android 4.1 slowly rolls out to Galaxy S III users around the globe, U.S. owners can’t help but wonder when they can expect the tasty Jelly Bean update. Well, Samsung doesn’t want to leave everyone hanging like most OEMs do. That’s why they’ve sent out a press release to ensure everyone that Jelly Bean is, in fact, on the way.

If you’re lucky enough to be running the latest version of Android (Android 4.1 Jelly Bean) then you already know how awesome improvements such as Project Butter and Google Now are. Google also made great enhancements in its Voice Search, and while it’s kind of Star Trek-ish when your device is talking back to you, it can also be annoying. Thankfully, there’s a way to disable speech output when using Voice Search — you know… for those times when your voice is the only one you feel like hearing.

A few days back, ASUS announced it would be updating its Transformer Pad Infinity And Transformer Pad Prime. Users couldn’t wait to update to the latest and greatest version of Android, however, ASUS had to delay (if you could even call it that) the update for the Transformer Pad Infinity until today.

Looks like Verizon was waiting until they had a device on their network that was actually running Android 4.1 before updating their NFL Mobile app. I guess that makes a bit of sense, however, they still could have pushed out Android 4.1 sooner. Back to the subject at hand: NFL Mobile.

I have some good news for Galaxy S III owners. Samsung has started pushing out Jelly Bean ahead of schedule. The first batch of updates has already begun over in Poland and is expected to hit other markets soon. With Android 4.1, the Samsung Galaxy III will not only be up-to-date, but will enjoy all the killer benefits and features such as Google Now and Project Butter.
