Android-4-3-Galaxy-Note-II

After Android 4.3 Jelly Bean arrived on the Galaxy S III last month, Galaxy Note II users have been eagerly anticipating an update of their own. And although it hasn’t quite made its way into consumer hands yet, it looks like it is close, with Samsung service centers now getting the release.

U.S. Cellular is the latest carrier to be rolling out the much-anticipated over-the-air updated OS version to all its Galaxy S4 carrier-branded smartphones. This hefty upgrade, which weighs in at 537MB, brings the latest build of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean together with support for the Galaxy Gear.

Sony has this week confirmed its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade plans for Xperia smartphones and tablets. If you have a recent, high-end Xperia device, then you’ll be eligible for both updates — and you can expect the first to start rolling out “from next month.”

HTC-One-software-updates

HTC has begun rolling out its latest Android 4.3 update — complete with the latest Sense 5.5 user interface — to HTC One handsets in the United Kingdom. The release comes less than two weeks after the update made its debut on international handsets.

Moto-G-teaser

Claims that Motorola is planning a budget version of the Moto X looked stronger last week when an upcoming magazine containing details of the “Moto G” was leaked online. And now Motorola has all but confirmed the device by teasing a Moto G unveiling for November 13.
