Apple just released it’s Q3 2013 earnings report and even though iPhone sales were up to 31.2 million units in the quarter, compared to 26 million last quarter, the company only posted a net profit of $6.9 billion. Samsung on the other hand reported that it made $8.33 billion in profit during the same quarter.

Apple reported a profit of $8.8 billion and $35 billion in revenue in the third quarter of 2012, so profit is still down and revenue growth is flat. The company’s year-over-year net profit shrank for the first time in a decade last quarter.

Nokia’s decision to only make Windows smartphones has been heavily scrutinized ever since CEO Stephen Elop made the announcement in 2011. Why go with Microsoft’s new platform when Android was already better established?

tinder

Since launching on the iPhone last October, Tinder has made some waves in the online dating scene by providing an online dating game for iOS users. If you feel like you’ve been missing out, you’ll be happy to know it finally arrived on Google Play today, giving Android users access to all the awkward app dating fun that has been strictly an iOS-only affair.

Tinder offers a game-ified approach to flirting in a format that’s a lot like Hot or Not. You sign up with your Facebook profile and add a few pictures to your profile. Then you swipe through profile cards of other Tinder users who are nearby and hit “like” or “pass” based on whether they’re physically appealing enough to you.

If you both like each other’s card you’re setup as a match and can chat, flirt, and do whatever kind of ungodly things two people who hook up via an app do. If not, well everything stays anonymous and no one’s the wiser.

You can pick Tinder up from Google Play for free starting today.
