The new app gives developers and curious users the ability to preview upcoming features prior to their public debut. It works alongside the regular Chrome browser, so you can install it without losing the stable version.

A leaked photograph claimed to be of Samsung’s official Galaxy S IV press shot has been leaked online, along with specifications for the device. It reportedly came from an insider at Samsung, who claims this is the successor to the hugely successful Galaxy S III. It’s expected to offer a larger 4.99-inch 1080p display, plus a 2GHz quad-core processor. But is the image genuine?

It’s taken some time, but Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is finally beginning to claim a notable share of devices. Almost six months after its release, the software has been installed on 10.2% of smartphones and tablets, while Gingerbread’s share slowly diminishes. The vast majority of users are still running Gingerbread, Android 2.3, but the software share has dropped below the 50% mark for the first time in over a year.

It appears Samsung is hard at work on a new Android handset that combines a physical QWERTY keyboard with a touchscreen, possibly to succeed the Galaxy M Pro GT. The new handset has been pictured out in the wild running the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and it sports the GT-B7810 model number that was approved by the FCC back in June 2012.

MetroPCS has added another affordable smartphone to its 4G lineup this morning in the form of the ZTE Avid 4G. The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sports a “crystal-clear” 4-inch display — all for just $149 with no annual contract.
