It appears the HTC EVO 4G LTE has been freed from the callous clutches of U.S. Customs after clearing its International Trade Commission review. In case you didn’t know, the HTC EVO 4G LTE was held up at Customs due to allegations over patent infringement stemming from a ruling Apple won against HTC back in December. While nothing more than an inconvenience, the hold up has sparked outrage from some customers and even sparked some harsh words from Android community members. Thankfully, the wait is almost over — according to Sprint — and those who pre-ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE can expect them to ship around Thursday, May 24.

Sprint has just announced the availability of the HTC Bluetooth music adaptor for wirelessly streaming music from your phone through your car stereo speakers. It’s a fairly expensive adaptor at $59.99 and considering it plugs into a 3.5mm aux port, it’ll leave you wondering “why not just buy a cheap aux cable?”

T-Mobile has announced the availability of a certain tasty treat for HTC Amaze 4G owners. That’s right, Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich, is now available for the HTC Amaze 4G. To check for the update, simply go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > HTC Software Updates > Check. Follow the instructions and you’ll be on your way to enjoying the latest and greatest version of Android.

By now, I’m sure you may have heard about how U.S. Customs is holding all of the HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE phones hostage as they investigate allegations over patent infringement stemming from a ruling Apple won against HTC back in December. The ban essentially went into effect in April of 2012, but what most of us don’t understand is why the investigation at Customs? HTC has already created a work around for the infringement and even responded back in December about it:

Back in March, T-Mobile announced Ice Cream Sandwich would be coming to the HTC Sensation 4G and Amaze 4G, unfortunately they gave no specific dates for the updates. Well, that documentation has been updated and we now know that the Sensation 4G will be getting Android 4.0 this Wednesday, with the Amaze 4G coming in the next weeks.
