The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 made its debut last week and has already found its innards spread across a table for all to see. That’s right, I’m talking about the customary iFixit teardown. That’s when a member of the iFixit team dissects a device to expose its parts and determine its level of repairability. You’ll be happy to know the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 scored an 8 out of 10 for ease of repair, completely shaming Apple’s new iPad, which barely scored a 2.

It’s officially official! The global launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will start tomorrow. Samsung will begin by releasing the WiFi only models in the U.S. starting at $499 for the 16GB model and $549 for the 32GB version. You’ll also get to choose from either white or blue and will be able to pick them up from any of the following retailers: Best Buy, HH Gregg, Office Depot, Amazon, and Tiger Direct.

It’s appearing as the global launch for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will take place the day after the August 15th U.S. event in NYC. This is the second region we’re seeing listed as getting the Note 10.1 on August 16th and so we’re just going to assume the 16th is the magic date.

A press release in Hong Kong has shed some light on what kind of pricing we can expect for Samsung’s large-and-in-charge Galaxy Note 10.1. The device is set to be unveiled here in the states on August 15th, but Sammy has already announced its existence and global launch appears to begin August 16th, with Hong Kong first on the list.
