Samsung Announces The Global Launch Of Its New Note 10.1 Ahead Of August 15th Event

Apparently Samsung could’t keep its excitement over the Galaxy Note 10.1 contained and felt the need to announce a global launch ahead of their August 15th event. It’s official, and just like the Samsung event invitation, they’re now referring to the Note 10.1 as the “new way.”

The video for the Note 10.1 is quite impressive and makes it appear to be one of the most versatile, functional and productive tablets I’ve seen to date, thanks to their S Pen software suite.

There hasn’t been any mention of price, but we can tell you what you’ll be getting once the Note 10.1 becomes available:

  • 1.4 GHz quad-core processor
  • 55.8mm (10.1”) WXGA(1280×800) LCD + Digitizer
  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Touchwiz of course
  • 16/32/64GB User memory
  • 2GB (RAM)
  • microSD (up to 64GB)
  • 5 Megapixel Auto Focus Rear Camera with LED Flash
  • 1.9 Megapixel VT Front Facing Camera
  • S Pen Experience (S Note, S Planner, My Story)
  • WiFi only, 3G/HSPA+, and a 4G LTE model
  • Li-ion 7,000mAh Battery
  • And more!

While no official dates of availability have been made, we know they will first release the WiFi only and 3G/HSPA+ models, then follow up with the LTE models later in the month.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 is looking to be a pretty impressive piece of hardware, let’s just hope the price puts it in our hands.
