Samsung is rolling out a small but important fix for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge to fix a frustrating RAM issue reported by a significant number of users. You can expect the 138MB release to reach your handset over-the-air very soon.

Lollipop’s memory leak has been plaguing Nexus users since Android 5.0 was released late last year, and despite several updates since then, Google has failed to fix it. Fortunately, third-party developers have stepped in with a patch.

The tweak is intended for devices running AOSP ROMs based on Android 5.0 and up, and it’s available on rooted devices running the Xposed framework.

The nasty memory leak that has plagued Lollipop since the platform’s debut last fall is still lingering in the latest Android 5.1 release, according to some reports, but Google says it already has a fix for it.

The only problem is, it doesn’t yet know when it will be available to the public.

OnePlus has rolled out another software update this week, addressing a number of major bugs that were introduced to the One with its last release less than two weeks ago. In addition to fixing the frustrating battery drain problem, it includes a fix for touchscreen problems, a new radio image, and more.

Can you fix hardware problems with a software update? LG certainly thinks so. The company is currently rolling out a patch for the G Watch that promises to eliminate charging pin corrosion. It comes amid mounting complaints from disgruntled users whose watches have literally been wasting away on their wrists.
