Galaxy-S-III-4-3-Jelly-Bean

Cricket Wireless has today started pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean over-the-air update to all of its locked carrier-branded Samsung Galaxy S III handsets located in the United States. In addition to the upgraded build of the open source operating system, this update also brings a truckload of bug fixes, stability improvements, speed optimizations, as well as support for Samsung KNOX, Sound & Shoot and the Galaxy Gear.

ZTE Source

Cricket Wireless has officially announced that the ZTE Source will be the latest budget-friendly smartphone to be added to its “affordable” lineup of Android-powered devices. The Source will launch on Sunday, October 20, and the U.S. carrier will hold exclusivity over the handset at launch.

Samsung’s latest flagship phone has been available to purchase on just about every U.S. carrier for a while now, but as of today we can add another one to that long list. U.S. mobile carrier Cricket Wireless has just begun taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S4, with an expected shipping date of June 7th.

If you’re buying a Galaxy S4, then you’re almost spoiled for choice when it comes to deciding which carrier you wish to sign up with, because all four of the big names in the United States are offering the device. But that’s not the case if you want the handset prepaid — at least not yet.

Next month, however, you’ll be able to purchase the Galaxy S4 on Cricket from $55 down.

BBC-Sport-Android

The official BBC Sport app has finally landed on Android, more than six weeks after making its debut on the iPhone. Designed for devices that are 7 inches or smaller, it provides you with access to all of the content you’ll find on the BBC Sport website, but in a format that’s much easier to enjoy on a smaller display. It has dedicated sections for football (soccer), Formula 1, cricket, rugby, tennis, golf, and more.
