Today T-Mobile announced a slew of new markets now able to take advantage of their 4G HSPA+ speeds while also highlighting their plans for the future. While T-Mobile admits their priority now lies in the preparation of their future LTE network, they will continue to improve their HSPA+ network with the possibility of eventually having 84Mbps theoretical download speeds. Since no one can predict the future, we’ll stick to what’s going on right now and that is the eight new cities with HSPA+:

Last month T-Mobile announced they would be launching the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G by “late March” and while that plan still stands, we now have a more concrete date. According to T-Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will hit “select” stores on Wednesday March 21st followed by a full release on March 28th. AT&T has announced a dozen new markets set to receive 4G LTE in the coming months. While they didn’t give any specific rollout dates, the following cities are next on the list for an upgrade and should see LTE soon:

Sprint has announced a new low-end Android device geared towards families on a budget. The ZTE Fury will only cost $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and will have access to an array of friendly family apps (which unfortunately cost extra). You won’t find any jaw dropping specs but the Fury does feature:

We have some good news for owners of the Motorola DROID 2 Global on Verizon: you have an update! It’s nothing as exciting as Ice Cream Sandwich, but it does take care of some pesky bugs, including the “out of memory” errors some of you may have experienced. The update began rolling out OTA last night and should make it to your device sometime today. To check for the update manually, simply go to Settings > About Phone > System Update. If you still don’t see anything, just sit tight as it’s on the way.
