Verizon has posted up the changelog for an upcoming Motorola DROID RAZR/RAZR MAXX update that should begin rolling out soon. Generally speaking, these updates go out about a week after the changelog goes up so it shouldn’t be too long. Unfortunately this isn’t the Ice Cream Sandwich update everyone has been waiting for. Instead, it features:
AT&T’s first ever Android 4.0 device will be hitting shelves in just a couple weeks and comes with a reasonable price tag of $199 on a two-year plan. That’s right, the highly anticipated HTC One X will be launching on AT&T May 6, with pre-orders beginning this Sunday. The HTC One X is HTC’s latest top-tier phone and the big daddy of the One series.
Just about every major carrier seems to boast the “fastest network speeds,” while bombarding us with acronyms like LTE and buzzwords such as “lightning fast.” When it’s all said and done, we’re left confused and none the closer to the truth of which network actually has the fastest speeds. So how do we find out the truth? Well, it’s not as simple as we’d like it to be and there are near infinite variables to the equation, but one way to get a general idea of how fast a network’s speeds will be in a real-world environment is to test them out.
Verizon continues its onslaught of 4G LTE rollouts across the U.S. and after expanding a slew of California markets last week, they’re back at it again. This next bombardment of 4G LTE is a huge one and reaches across various markets from New York to Colorado. Hopefully by April 19th, your city/town will have been added to the coverage list and you’ll be able to ditch that 3G in favor of the fast lane speeds of 4G LTE. Rollouts and expansions are expected to start Thursday and will cover the following markets:
T-Mobile has pretty much fallen off the face of the mobile earth ever since its failed marriage to AT&T. They’ve been pretty quiet since then and really haven’t wowed us with any new devices or announcements. The next “big” thing to hit T-Mobile is the HTC One S, which really isn’t that “big” of a deal. In an attempt to sell the One S to its customers as well as attempt a complete rebrand, T-Mobile will be unleashing the alter ego of Carly, the innocent girl in the magenta dress you’re used to seeing in those T-Mobile commercials.
