Galaxy Tab 2 ATT

At last AT&T’s LTE version of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (SGH-I497) is the next device on Samsung’s list to receive the Android 4.1.2 update.

Since the tablet launched on AT&T’s network back in November, 2012, supporting 4.0 Jelly Bean which was only about a year out of date, it seems almost fitting that the 4.1 update is coming almost a year after Jelly Bean was introduced on the Nexus 7.

AT&T has expanded its LTE connectivity service to an additional 7 locations and in true AT&T’style. The announcement was made in a sequential series of press releases on the U.S. carrier’s website.

With Best Buy and even Apple itself offering deep discounts on iPhones, it seems like everyone is getting into the act. AT&T just announced a plan to offer users a trade-in plan for up to fifty percent off online or in-store purchases of mobile devices like the iPhone 5, Galaxy S4, or HTC One when an older phone is traded in towards the purchase.

According to a recent FCC filing, Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 6.3 has stopped by the Federal Communications Commission… again. However, on the second trip through, it is reported that the device had radios capable of working on AT&T’s 4G LTE network.
