Here’s an interesting rumor. Purportedly ASUS and Google are working on two new versions of the Nexus 7, both of which will be thinner and launch by the end of 2012. If that bit of information doesn’t get you excited, how about the rumor that one of these purported tablets will only cost $99? Say what?!

If you’ve been thinking about picking up an ASUS Transformer Pad TF300, then you’re going to want to check out the deal Sears is currently offering. That’s a fantastic deal, especially considering the keyboard dock usually goes for $150.

Semi-good news for anyone living in Germany, Spain, or France. The Google Nexus 7 is now available to you via the Google Play Store and can be had for €199 for the 8GB model and €249 for the 16GB. This is slightly above U.S. pricing, which isn’t uncommon for the European market, but at least they will be able to enjoy a wealth of content and features, as well as Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, Google Music and Google Magazines is still unavailable.
