Amazon will be holding a press event on September 6th to reveal what we can only assume will be the next line of Kindles. The invitations have been arriving in press inboxes everywhere but give no details in regards to what will be announced. With the holiday season a few month away, Amazon will be getting a head start and it will be interesting to see how their new offerings compare to the current budget tablet leader, the Nexus 7.

If you act fast, you’ll never need to worry about storage constraints on your mobile device again (as long as it accepts microSD). Turn any phone into a storage beast by taking advantage of today’s Gold Box deal from Amazon. Up for grabs are a slew of SanDisk storage options, but most notably for mobile users are the 32GB and 64GB microSD cards.

As the holiday season slowly approaches, the war for budget tablet supremacy is heating up. While the Nexus 7 is hands down the king of budget at this time, market pioneers such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble don’t plan on idly sitting by. Both companies are beginning to prepare for their upcoming models as they discount and discontinue current models.

If you happen to be the owner of an Amazon Kindle Fire and enjoy having a large catalog of music at your finger tips, then you’ll be happy to hear that Spotify is now available via the Amazon App Store. It may have taken a while to make its way to Kindle Fire owners, but it should be a welcomed addition to the already multitude of music services available.

The Kindle Fire was the best thing to happen to the tablet market in my opinion, and if Amazon where to simply close the book on their tablet ambitions after the Fire, it would just be silly. We can, of course, assume there will be more content consumption devices to come from Amazon. While there haven’t been any official announcements, president of U.S. retail for Staples has spilled the beans on Amazon’s plans to introduce up to five or six tablet SKUs of various sizes, including a 10-inch model.
