Acer slyly started selling their special edition quad-core 10.1-inch tablet online today. This Olympic edition Iconia Tab A510 carries the symbol of the iconic Olympic rings in its design as well as an all-star team of specs. This 10.1-inch Ice Cream Sandwich toting tablet features:

Today Acer announced their plans for updating their Iconia Tab line to Android 4.0. Starting today, Ice Cream Sandwich will begin rolling out to the Acer Iconia Tab A200. Then update will roll out to users slowly and will be completed by the following week. This is pretty impressive considering the A200 launched less than a month ago. Acer also outlined their plans for updating the Iconia Tab A100 and A500.

If you’ve been in the market for an Android tablet, you can now add another option to the slew of Android tablets you have to choose from. The Acer Iconia A200 is now being offered at Best Buy for the mid-range price of $349.99. That price isn’t much higher than what we reported a couple weeks ago, although we were a couple days off on the release date. If you missed our earlier coverage, the Acer Iconia A200 features:

We knew this would be the year of the quad-core at CES, and blasting right out of the gate was Acer, showing off it quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 Iconia Tab. At the end of their press event, Acer snuck in an unnamed Acer Iconia Tab which we found out later was the Iconia A700. The A700 is expected to feature a 10.1″ 1920 x 1080 resolution screen, NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3, dual cameras, microSD slot, HDMI port, a thin body, and Android 4.0. There hasn’t been an official press release yet, and other specs remain a mystery, but if Acer’s press event sets the tone for the rest of CES, we can expect lots of quad-core Ice Cream Sandwich tablets, Ultrabooks, and more cloud-storage.
