Samsung is set to announce the Galaxy Note III at a press event on September 4, and like most of its smartphones, there will be different variants with different specifications for different countries. One of them will feature Samsung’s eight-core Exynos 5420 processor, while the other will feature a Snapdragon 800 chip.

Verizon Wireless has been hard at work rolling out LTE on its network over the past three years or so, but the company announced today that the nationwide 4G LTE rollout is ‘substantially complete.’

With support for over 500 LTE markets, Verizon’s 4G LTE network now covers 95% of the U.S. population. Verizon Wireless CTO Nicola Palmer says the company isn’t totally done just yet. As reported by PC Mag, Palmer says the company plans to add more services to LTE over the next few years and open new markets:

YouView, the latest digital television service to arrive in the U.K., has today announced that it is launching a new Android app. The app will be much like the iOS version, allowing you to control your YouView box from your smartphone, and it’ll hit Google Play in “the next couple of weeks.”

If Samsung’s 8-inch Galaxy Note tablet is a little too large for your rucksack, then maybe the company’s new 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 will be better suited. Announced this morning, the new slate comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed, and will be available globally in May.

Libon

Orange has today launched a new all-in-one communications tool for Android that promises to “change the way you communicate with the people that matter.” Called Libon, the app provides users with free calls, text messages, and a smart visual voicemail service that’s compatible with any wireless network in over 100 countries.
