We first heard speculation surrounding a cheaper Galaxy Note 3 “Lite” back in December, and it was claimed that the handset would make its debut during the first quarter of this year. Now a leaked specifications sheet has revealed everything there is to know about the device, which will actually be called the Galaxy Note 3 Neo.

But rather than a scaled back version of the Galaxy Note 3, the device seems more of an upgraded Galaxy Note 2, and it’ll be the world’s first smartphone with a “Hexa-Core” processor, which combines a dual-core and a quad-core CPU.

If it wants to retain its massive share of the smartphone market, Samsung must ensure its flagship devices are always one step ahead of the competition. So with the Galaxy S5, the South Korean company hopes to take on Apple’s Touch ID with eye-scanning technology that’ll let you unlock your phone using only your irises.

The device will be available around March or April of this year, Samsung executive vice president Lee Young Hee confirmed in an interview with Bloomberg — and it’ll launch alongside a second-generation Galaxy Gear that’ll be thinner than its predecessor.

Late last year, Sony rolled out the Android 4.3 update for the Xperia Z, ZL and Tablet Z. The Xperia T and SP were also scheduled to receive the update last month but it got delayed for some reason.

Now, screenshots of the final Android 4.3 firmware for these devices have leaked out suggesting that Sony is nearly done with the update and is on the verge of pushing them out to the end users.

Google unveiled the revamped version of its flagship 7-inch tablet, the Nexus 7, back in June, and a month later the device was available from the Play Store for $229. However, if you haven’t had the opportunity to pick one up before now, it may be of interest for you to know that for one day only the popular U.S. retailer, Woot, is offering $40 and $50 reductions on factory reconditioned Nexus 7 slates.
