Following KitKat’s rollout to the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S4, Samsung has today started pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 over-the-air update to all of its Snapdragon-equipped S4 LTE handsets located in Germany. In addition to the chunky bump up from Jelly Bean to KitKat, this particular upgrade transports several tweaks for the lock screen, including a refreshed camera shortcut and full-screen album artwork during audio playback.

America’s second largest carrier, AT&T, has just announced the addition of 12 new countries to its international 4G LTE roaming list. Users can now enjoy 4G LTE in these new destinations, although nothing was mentioned in terms of a price cut or discounts for roaming customers.

Geeksphone and Silent Circle, the makers of the privacy friendly Blackphone, have now shared more details on the hardware and the availability of the smartphone. The two companies were present at the MWC in Barcelona to demonstrate the functioning of the device.

Along with its first 64-bit Snapdragon chips, Qualcomm also announced a higher clocked version of the S800 — the Snapdragon 801 a.k.a MSM8974AC. As the change in name suggests, this new chip from Qualcomm only boasts of higher clock speeds across the board to deliver better performance.
