Galaxy S5

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has just gone on sale in South Korea via local carriers ahead of the April 11 launch date. Carriers in the region are restricted from selling any devices after April, so this early launch was the only solution to avoid loss of sales.

HTC-stand-MWC-2014

HTC’s Executive Director of Product Management took to Twitter earlier today to announce that the AT&T-branded variant of the One Mini, is expected to receive the much-anticipated KitKat update by the end of this week. The upgrade will bring the latest build of Android 4.4.2 and Sense 5.5 to the handset, in addition to the usual multitude of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Fitbit-Force

Earlier today, Fitbit expanded capability for its wearable fitness tracker, the flex, to a further 44 Android devices. In addition to the Sync expansion, the American company also revealed that its recently revamped application will come preloaded on the brand new HTC One M8, which should, in turn, expose more people to its products, leading to an increase in sales.

LG G2 Mini

The LG G2 Mini was announced last month as a smaller variant of LG’s popular G2 smartphone. The Korean manufacturer has now detailed the global launch of this smartphone with several markets including Russia and CIS countries expected to get it next month. This will be followed by Asia, Europe, Latin Americas and African countries.

Optimus G

According to a leak courtesy of French carrier SFR, the LG Optimus G will get the Android 4.4.2 update this Summer. So it seems like users of LG’s 2012 flagship still have a few months of waiting to do for the latest version of Android.
