KitKat 10

As promised, AT&T is now in the process of pushing out the much-anticipated KitKat update to all its carrier-branded One Mini variants currently located in the United States. In terms of functionality, the upgrade will bring the latest build of Android 4.4.2 and Sense 5.5 to the handset, in addition to the usual deluge of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Yesterday, Rogers announced that the markets first curved self-healing smartphone, the LG G Flex, will be available to purchase from its online shop or in any of bricks-and-mortar stores located in Canada starting next Thursday, April 3. The press release also includes a statement from the operator notifying potential customers that the handset will deliver its exclusive ‘full-speed LTE connection’ – which utilizes both the 2100 and 2600MHz spectrum for data speeds of up to 150mbps.

Jolla Sailfish

The Jolla Sailfish OS from the makers of MeeGo has long been expected to make its way to users of the LG Nexus 4. The company has now rolled out an early adopter version of this OS meant for users of the 2012 Nexus smartphone. This will basically give users a very early preview of the new OS and will help better understand its functioning.

HTC M8 Unveiling

It is common for rival manufacturers to take a dig at each other, especially when two companies are launching a smartphone at almost the same time. The President of HTC America did something similar by taking a jibe at the Samsung flagship which is launching in mid-April.

LG G2 Snap The LG G2 has a pretty decent camera to begin with. However, that does not mean it cannot be improved further via software tweaks, which is exactly what a developer over at XDA forums has done. He has taken the stock camera app on the G2 and its libraries and tweaked it to further improve the imaging capabilities of the handset.
