Samsung-Galaxy-Ace-Style

Samsung today made its new Galaxy Ace Style official after the device popped up in Germany late last week.

It’s a midrange offering that’s expected to be priced at around €200 ($275), and for that you get Android 4.4 KitKat topped with Samsung’s latest “TouchWiz Essence” user interface — the same software that powers the South Korean company’s flagship Galaxy S5.

Samsung unveiled its first stylus-totting tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1, back in August 2012, and  just two weeks later the device went on sale for a rather hefty $549, and that’s where the price has stayed ever since. Up until now, that is. Popular U.S. independent retailer, Best Buy, is in the midst of holding a clearance sale, and you can currently grab the slate for $449.

KitKat 10

As promised, Verizon has begun pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 over-the-air (OTA) updated to all carrier-branded models of the HTC One Max currently located in the United States. In terms of added functionality, the upgrade brings the latest build of KitKat and Sense 5.5, in addition to the usual bug fixes, speed optimizations and stability improvements that we’ve grown to expect from any major software update.
