Images of an alleged “near-final prototype” Moto X+1 indicate the much-anticipated sequel to Motorola’s popular flagship will deliver a larger display and a better camera. The device is also expected to sport a more premium form factor with an aluminum chassis that isn’t completely unlike the HTC One’s.

It certainly looks like Sony is having difficulty keeping its upcoming flagship smartphone of 2014 under wraps. So far its appeared in a handful of leaked press renders, been the subject of an alleged specification sheet, passed through the Federal Communications Commission not once, but twice, and earlier today starred in two new images ostensibly revealing one of the handset’s sides and its back panel.

When you buy an Android smartphone on contract in the U.S., it comes with a whole bunch of pre-installed applications, many of which you’ll never use. If that wasn’t frustrating enough by itself, carriers also prevent the apps from being removed, so they’re always there in your app drawer, making things look messy and taking up storage space.

But for Verizon customers, that could be about to change.
