Panasonic today announced its impressive new Android-powered Lumix CM1 smartphone with a built-in 1-inch camera sensor and Leica lens. It’s the kind of sensor found inside dedicated point-and-shoots like Sony’s incredible RX100, and it’s going to deliver pictures you probably thought you’d never take on a smartphone.
The OnePlus One is the first device to ship with CyanogenMod 11S right out of the box. While based on the CyanogenMod 11 sources itself, CM11S packs in a few more goodies that makes it stand out from the former.

Google has confirmed plans to bring an offline mode to YouTube that will allow users to download videos and watch them later without a data connection. The feature will be rolled out to users “in the coming weeks,” but there is a catch.
When Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy Note in 2011, a lot of people laughed. Heck, I know I did: I said at the time that Samsung’s ginormous new product was a rip-off of the Apple Newton.
However, with the iPhone 6 Plus landing on Friday, I’ll be the first person to admit that while I still think a 5.5-inch smartphone is ridiculous, a lot of people seem to want one.
So when Samsung releases an ad, serving up claim chowder to all the journalists like Mashable, Boy Genius Report, and the Wall Street Journal who laughed at the Note three years ago, I have to say, they have it coming to them. They were right!

Google today announced the first crop of Android One smartphones at an event in India. With prices starting at just $105, the devices are designed to give those in emerging markets a stock Android experience and all the benefits that brings on a “high quality” device with a super affordable price tag.
