Google has finally rolled out the ability for Android developers to add localized graphics to their applications in Google Play. As Android devices become increasingly popular the world over — particularly in China, where a third of all Android devices are sold — the company has finally seen the need to support promotional materials dedicated to different countries.

Early this month, we told you about some mysterious benchmarks that indicated Asus was working on a new budget tablet, codenamed the ME172V. However, we couldn’t confirm whether they were genuine. Now they’ve been backed up by some images of the devices published by a Russian retailer.

The Galaxy Note II “Developer Edition” for Verizon Wireless has appeared on Samsung’s website this morning. Like the Korean company’s other Developer Edition handsets, such as the Galaxy S III, this one comes with a bootloader that will be simple to unlock — unlike the regular Galaxy Note II. Unfortunately, it still has that nasty Verizon logo on its home button.

MetroPCS has added another affordable smartphone to its 4G lineup this morning in the form of the ZTE Avid 4G. The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sports a “crystal-clear” 4-inch display — all for just $149 with no annual contract.

Hisense Pulse is a new set-top box powered by Google TV that was first announced at IFA back in August. Its $100 price tag makes it one of the most affordable ways to introduce Google TV to your living room, and it comes with some nice features.
