UPDATE: LG has since released a statement to confirm that is has not released Android 4.4 KitKat for the Optimus G.
LG is in the throes of pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat over-the-air update to all Optimus G devices in Taiwan. The upgrade brings Android’s latest operating system, coupled with a truckload of bug fixes, speed enhancements and stability improvements.

This upgrade brings Android 4.3 Jelly Bean plus a newer version of the TouchWiz user interface, as well as support for the Galaxy Gear and multitude of bug fixes and speed optimizations to the devices.
