Starting Sunday AT&T customers will be faced with a $36 fee for upgrading to a new device. This is a 100% increase from the current fee of $18! You ask yourself why, why would AT&T impose a 100% increase on a fee so outlandish that the majority of carriers wave? A few days ago we reported Verizon would be offering “buy-one get-one” on Motorola DROID RAZRs as well as bringing back their double data promo this Friday. Well, it’s Friday, and sure enough, the deals are now live and part of Verizon’s Valentine’s Sale.

In case you hadn’t heard, the Motorola DROID 4 was released today. If you were considering picking up this device, you may want to look at Amazon Wireless before going to Verizon. Amazon is continually undercutting Verizon’s device prices and the DROID 4 is getting the same treatment.
