Galaxy-Tab-3-8-0

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, a new 8-inch slate that’s set to join Samsung’s latest Galaxy Tab lineup, has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling. SamMobile has obtained both a picture of the device, as well as a list of its specifications, which include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.

We were surprised to see no new Nexus hardware at Google I/O on Wednesday. We were expecting at least a new Nexus 7, and possible a white Nexus 4 with 32GB of storage. The closest we got was a Samsung Galaxy S4 “Nexus edition” with stock Android.

But we may not have to wait too long before Google updates its 7-inch slate. In fact, it looks like the company has already begun teasing the device in its new promotional video for Google Hangouts.

Android and iOS managed to grab a whopping 92.3% of all smartphone shipments during the first quarter of 2013, with a total of 199.5 million units sold worldwide. There are no prizes for guessing which of the two platforms grabbed the most market share.

The original Sonic the Hedgehog, which first made its debut on the Sega Genesis back in 1991, is finally available on Android, four years after coming to the iPhone. The title is largely identical to the 1991 release, but it’s been optimized for modern, touch-based devices and offers some exclusive content only available on mobile.
