Google was willing to trump Facebook’s $19 billion offer to buy mobile messaging service WhatsApp, new reports suggest.
While it is well known that Google was interested in acquiring WhatsApp, it was previously thought that the company was only willing to offer $10 billion. Not so, according to The Information, which claims to have spoken with three people involved in the negotiations between the two parties.
Google unveiled the revamped version of its flagship 7-inch tablet, the Nexus 7, back in June, and a month later the device was available from the Play Store for $229. LG has officially announced that its first curved self-healing smartphone, the G Flex, will be available to purchase from Rogers’ on-line shop or in any of bricks-and-mortar stores located in Canada starting this Spring. The press release also includes a statement from the operator notifying potential customers that the handset will deliver its exclusive ‘full-speed LTE connection’ – which utilizes both the 2100 and 2600MHz spectrum for data speeds of up to 150mbps.

Yesterday, LG officially unveiled the G2 Mini a scaled-down variant of its flagship smartphone, the G2, which made its debut appearance back in August, 2013. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen very much of the mini, except for the press renders that were published yesterday, but, thankfully, LG is now looking to publicize its latest mid-range device and has started this process by uploading an official teaser video on its YouTube channel today.
