A couple of images have surfaced displaying what appears to be an Android tablet manufactured by NVIDIA, with “Tegra Tab” branding. The “Tegra Tab” looks like a blend of both the gaming handheld Shield and the new Nexus 7, and sufficient evidence shows that NVIDIA’s upcoming tablet was designed around the basis of the ASUS’s latest tablet.

Although it was a great idea, this notion of a cheap Android game console, the Ouya left a lot to be desired at launch. The hardware had some obvious deficiencies, like controller dead spots, but more importantly, the game library at launch was practically non-existent.

Right now, it looks like the Ouya is a dud: a great idea that just didn’t have a chance because it couldn’t get a push. But you know who might be able to take that same idea and get developers to treat it more seriously? Amazon. And they’re working to do just that.

Wuaki TV

Rakuten has finally launched the beta for its Wuaki.tv app on Google Play, bringing its users the ability to navigate through an endless library of TV Shows and Movies which can be streamed to your Android smartphone, tablet, and computer.

Samsung Wallet

Samsung has officially released its Wallet application on the Play Store, an app that was only previously accessible via Samsung Apps on either the Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note II. Samsung first previewed Wallet back at MWC in February and continues to be the South Korean company’s answer to Apple’s Passbook.

Today Google refreshed its promoted search results for local business in Google Maps on both Android and iOS. When you search for a business, Google will now show ads for merchants that have paid in a bottom banner. Like Google search on the web, it will be obvious that the listing is a promotion.
