Google continues its series of introductory videos for new users looking to become acquainted with Android and the Nexus 7. Their latest video is a bit shorter than I would prefer but I guess the general idea is to show off a few of the awesome Google apps that come standard on the Nexus 7 (and most every other Android device).

We simply love wallpapers. They’re one of the first changes we make to our Android devices and often represent our moods, interests, or wicked alter egos. They’re as unique as the individuals who use them and while some people pick one and stick with it, others change them more often than a teenager’s Facebook status. Each day we’re going to feature a free wallpaper for you to download and use on your Android device. Depending on your device, you may want to use your favorite photo editing software to resize the image for a better fit. Once that’s done, apply and enjoy. Your homescreen can thank us later. Cheers!

A few weeks back I did a review on some NFC tags from https://tagsfordroid.com and with the majority of newer devices (including the Nexus 7) now being NFC enabled, I couldn’t help but wonder how many users have actually purchased NFC tags for their NFC enabled devices?

Well, what can I say? I was in complete shock to find out the first batch of Nexus Q devices sold out in less than 24 hours. Granted I have no idea just how many Qs Google had in stock, I’m still in disbelief. I thought for sure the price tag would deter the majority of consumers, yet here we are, looking at a backordered product that won’t start shipping for another 2-3 weeks.

Still suffering from post Google I/O blues? Then why not relive the entire event by watching it unfold in just under 4 minutes? Google recently added a short video highlighting all of the awesomesauce of Google I/O 2012 to YouTube, and it’s well worth a look. I, myself, like to dub it “The Year Of The Nexus,” as Google introduced the Nexus 7 and Nexus Q.
