Just as promised, TAG Heuer today unveiled Connected, its first smartwatch powered by Android Wear. The device is inspired by the iconic Carrera watch, and although it’s not quite as pretty, it is the most expensive Wear watch you can buy.

Samsung is developing a new entry-level fitness tracker that will go head-to-head with the likes of the incredibly popular Xiaomi Mi Band, according to sources familiar with its plans.

The new wearable is expected to be a simpler and substantially more affordable alternative to the company’s new Gear S2 watch aimed at those who want to track their activities.

TAG Heuer is ready to take on the Apple Watch.

Its first smartwatch, powered by Android Wear and called the Carrera Connected, is set to make its debut later this week, and it will retail for $1,500.

Google is in talks with chipset manufacturers with a view to designing its own processors and other components for future Android devices, according to a new report.

The company is said to be interested in following Apple’s footsteps in an effort to make Android “more competitive” at the high end of the market, and to “solve other major problems.”
