Last week a series of screenshots were posted on Twitter indicating that Samsung’s in the process of working on a major design overhaul for its famous TouchWiz user interface which gets plastered over the top of the traditional Android OS on all of its current smartphones. Today, two new screenshots have emerged showing what appears to be an informative card based UI, similar to what Google created with Now.

Samsung released its relatively impressive compact entry-level Android-powered smartphone, the Galaxy Fame, back in March, 2013, and since then its shown itself to be a big hit with people who don’t require the power that a flagship device has to offer but still seek the software and functionality that one brings. At launch, the handset retailed for £179, and now the popular independent online retailer, Very, is selling the handset with a £80 discount — meaning you can now pick one up for £99.

Today, Huawei discreetly released a slightly more powerful version of it’s flagship smartphone of 2013, the Ascend P6. The revamped handset’s design appears to be identical to the original smartphone, though the technical specifications on the Chinese manufacturer’s website suggest that the S version is actually 0.3mm thicker, but things get a little bit more interesting when you start to look at the internals.

Huawei unveiled its 2014 flagship smartphone, the Ascend Mate 2, at CES in Las Vegas just a few days ago, and now an independent Chinese retailer is selling the factory unlocked version for 2,688 Yuan, which is approximately $445.

Word on the street has it that, LG is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, dubbed the ‘LG G3’, on Saturday, May 17, 2014, in Times Square, New York, and is expected to be going on sale in Europe, Asia and North America shortly after its official unveiling.
