Another internal document has been leaked on the internet this time revealing that U.S. Cellular’s much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 update for Samsung’s former flagship smartphone of 2013, the Galaxy Note 3, will start rolling out later today, Wednesday, February 19, to all carrier-branded handsets located in the United States. This upgrade transports the latest build of KitKat, in addition to several enhancements for the TouchWiz custom user interface.

Developers love getting their hands on a kernel source code, primarily because it allows them to develop some great new custom ROMs with awesome features that we don’t usually get as standard on our devices. As of today, the official Android 4.4 kernel files for the Sprint-branded Galaxy Note 3 is available to download directly from Samsung’s Open Source Release Center.

Samsung is busy pushing out a relatively minor over-the-air stability update to all its unlocked Galaxy Note 3 handsets currently located in the United States. Sadly, this upgrade doesn’t bring any major software modifications, such as Android 4.4.2, but it does transport a fix for a rather annoying problem that many users have been complaining about for a while now.

HTC is unexpectedly in the midst of rolling out the much anticipated over-the-air (OTA) update to all unlocked One Max and One Mini handsets located in India. This upgrade brings the latest build of KitKat and Sense 5.5 to the handset, complete with a multitude of additional bug fixes and speed optimizations.

Samsung released its first 8-inch tablet, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, back in June, 2013, and a month later the device was available to purchase in the U.S. from several retailers with a $199 price tag. However, if you haven’t had the opportunity or the wherewithal to pick one up before now, it may please you to you to know that the popular independent retailer, Best Buy, is currently offering the device with an $20 discount.
