Samsung is about to unwrap its new Galaxy Note 8 at an event in New York City. This is the device that will be giving iPhone 8 a run for its money this fall, while hoping to convince Samsung fans that last year’s Note 7 fiasco was nothing more than a minor hiccup.

We have high hopes for the Note 8. Samsung’s has already delivered two of the best smartphones of 2017 in the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, and the Note 8 is expected to build upon the strong foundations those devices made and raise the bar even higher.

Recent rumors have indicated that the device will be a lot like its smaller siblings, with an edge-to-edge Infinity Display, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon processor, and features like iris scanning. We’re also expecting it to deliver dual rear-facing cameras like the iPhone 7 Plus.
