LG won’t officially unveil its flagship G5 until later this month, but the company is already announcing cases for it. Its first is a high-end metallic Quick Cover, which works alongside the G5’s new always-on display.

LG has long offered Quick Cover cases for its high-end smartphones, and they’re normally made out of plastic and faux leather. The new one “incorporates a unique film with a glossy metallic finish,” LG says, which compliments “the look and feel of the forthcoming LG G5.”

That all but confirms rumors the G5 will have a more premium design made of out metal, rather than plastic like its predecessors. LG also confirms the G5’s always-on display, which will allow users to check the time, date, and notifications while the Quick Cover is closed.

You will also be able to answer calls and control alarms without opening the case, thanks to its touch-sensitive “semitransparent mesh.”

LG hasn’t said how much its new Quick Cover will cost, but you can expect it to be available alongside the G5 either later this month or, more likely, in early March.
