OnePlus has already made a name for itself with its debut smartphone, and rumor has it the company is planning something special for its second-generation device that will help it better compete against giants like Samsung, HTC, and even Apple.

One of the features of the OnePlus Two, according to a new report, will be a fingerprint scanner. But not just any fingerprint scanner… a laser focus fingerprint scanner.

“The leaked features suggest that the device will have something interesting called a laser focus fingerprint identification embedded in the home button,” GizmoChina reports. “Also, there will be regular capacitive Android 5.0 buttons on the sides.”

The report claims the OnePlus Two will look similar to the Oppo Find 7, which already happens to be a dead ringer for the OnePlus One — at least from the front, as well as Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810 processor.

Thing the OnePlus Two are likely to be missing are wireless charging and a microSD card slot — neither of which were features of the original One. The device is also expected to be more expensive that its predecessor as OnePlus looks to start making a profit.

The OnePlus Two is expected to make its debut during the third quarter of this year, and we couldn’t be more excited for it. We’ve been huge fans of the One — despite the delayed updates, touchscreen issues, and controversial marketing — and we expect its successor to be even better.

We just hope OnePlus can finally get to the bottom of those teething troubles, and indeed its production process to enable it to do away with the frustrating invite system.
