OnePlus One pre-order hour kicks off at 11 a.m. EST

If you’ve been desperately waiting to get your hands on a OnePlus One, but you just cannot bag an invite, today’s the day you can finally place a pre-order. You’ll only have an hour to get your order in, however, so if you haven’t already, go fill your basket now so that all you have to do later is pay.

Until now, the only way to get a OnePlus One without winning one in a crazy competition, was to get hold of an invite. That hasn’t been easy for thousands of would-be One owners, and so six months after the handset’s initial debut, there are still a vast number of fans who waiting to get theirs.

For the first time today, they will finally get the opportunity to place a pre-order — but it won’t be easy. The pre-order window opens at 11 a.m. EST (8 a.m. PST, 3 p.m. GMT), and it will remain open for just one hour. Given the demand for this device and the number of people who will be trying to get one, you can probably expect the OnePlus website to take a beating.

In fact, the site has already been dropping this morning. If you can access preorder.oneplus.net, it’s best you do so as soon as possible — like now! — and prepare your order for when the window opens. You can add the One to your cart along with any accessories — all of which are being offered for “celebratory prices” during the one-hour period — and then save it, so that all you need to do when the time comes is pay for it.

You’ll be given a shipping estimate for your device as soon as you pre-order is placed, and if you happen to get an invite in the meantime, you can jump the queue and get your handset quicker.
