The Samsung Galaxy S4 has reportedly surpassed 20 million sales following its release just over two months ago. In comparison, it took the handset’s predecessor, the Galaxy S III, 100 days to reach this milestone, and it was Samsung’s fastest-selling smartphone to date.

That title has obviously been taken by the Galaxy S4 now, according to a report from Korea’s iNews24, which expects Samsung to make the news official with a press release later today. It’s hardly surprising given that it took the handset just four days to shift 4 million units.

The Galaxy S4 first went on sale in late April, and since then, Samsung has launched another four handsets that boast the Galaxy S4 name, including the Galaxy S4 Mini, the Galaxy S4 Active, the Galaxy S4 Zoom, and the Galaxy S4 LTE-Advanced, which is exclusive to South Korea at the moment.

Recent reports have claimed that Samsung has had to drop Galaxy S4 orders significantly because the handset hasn’t been selling as well as expected, but with 20 million units shipped in two months, Samsung will surely be pleased with how things are going.
