Sprint Announces $299.99 Samsung Galaxy Note II, Available Starting October 25

Sprint has announced availability and pricing for the highly anticipated U.S. launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Beginning October 25, Sprint will offer the Samsung Galaxy Note II for $299.99 with a 2-year commitment. The Galaxy Note II was unveiled back in August at the Samsung Unpacked event in Berlin and was said to hit all U.S. carriers by mid-November.

We’re not sure if any other carriers plan on releasing the Note II on October 25, but it wouldn’t be a surprise considering that’s the day after Samsung’s scheduled press event in NYC. The mid-November statement is probably to cover Samsung’s butt should Verizon take its usual extra couple weeks to launch anything.

As for specs, the next iteration of big lives up to its reputation with a massive 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display. Powering this behemoth is a Samsung Exynos 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Other specs include:

  • Android 4.1.1 (you hear that LG?) with TouchWiz of course
  • an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera
  • A 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera with HD video recording
  • 3,100mAh Battery
  • Sprint’s Truly Unlimited 4G LTE
  • Built-in S-Pen
  • And more!

It doesn’t mention storage capacity in the press release so your guess is as good as ours. We’re hoping for 32GB at $299.99 but wouldn’t be surprised to find out it’s the 16GB model.

Either way, the Galaxy Note II should do very well here in the U.S. and should be another hit for Samsung. You can learn more about its Sprint release by following the link below.
