The latest update to HBO Now on Android and iOS gives subscribers the ability to stream their favorite shows to their TV via a Chromecast. The new feature comes less than a month after HBO Now made its debut on Android following Apple’s exclusive three-month deal.

Amazon has inked a deal with HBO to bring popular shows like True Blood and The Wire to Prime Instant Video subscribers without an HBO subscription. The deal will also see an HBO GO app brought to the new Amazon Fire TV, but it’ll be exclusive to customers in the U.S.
Android users who don’t have HBO Go access have had limited options for checking out HBO’s most famous shows like The Wire and Game of Thrones, but the premium-cable giant is finally ready to start offering a selection of its shows on Google Play.
Starting today, Android users can purchase episodes from seven of HBO’s top shows from the Google Play store. The list of shows includes The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Girls, Veep, True Blood, The Newsroom, and Game of Thrones.
All of the shows have been available on iTunes for a while now, however, Google Play’s prices are much more competitive as most seasons are 10 bucks cheaper than on iTunes. Prices per episode vary from $2-$3 while an entire season can cost you up to $29.
Barnes & Noble has launched its Nook Video service in the United Kingdom today, bringing digital movies and TV shows to its Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets. In addition to fresh content from BBC Worldwide, HBO, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and more, users will gain access to UltraViolet versions of their existing DVD and Blu-ray purchases.
